Capsule Movie Review: SHAMITABH

Written and directed by R. Balki, SHAMITABH is a canny and levelheaded thriller genre delight. Empowered with the accomplished star cast featuring Amitabh Bacchan, Dhanush and Akshara Hassan, this movie strives to decode the human ego conflicts. Akshara (Shruti Hassan’s younger sister) has marked an impressive debut with her terrific acting skills.

Dumb by birth, Danish (Dhanush) is a Marathi and, who aspires to become an actor in Bollywood. After countless struggles, Akshara, who is an assistant director, recognizes his talent and strives to bring his talent into the knowledge of her boss. Nevertheless, in the absence of his voice, his talent is barred. Just at the moment, the luck seems to be on his side, as they gain insights into a technology that may overcome Danish’s limitation. They all begin looking for an ideal voice to suit Danish’s personality.

Here comes Amitabh Sinha in the picture with his powerful appealing voice and in no time it becomes the on-screen voice of Dhanush. He laughs out loud…. Amitabh says- “jis aawaaz ko directors ne to kya radio ne bhi reject kar diya, tu usi awaaz se hero banega”. In every sense, SHAMITABH is a surreal blend of a real story and fiction. With the grace of Amitabh’s voice and power-packed acting of Danish, they both deliver a superhit movie – Lifebuoy. Gradually, both develop Egos resulting in the destruction of all success achieved so far. Amitabh, a heavy drinker develops a theory that he is Whisky and Danish is water. “Water ko whisky ki jarurat hai, whisky ko water ki nahi”. On the other side, Danish thinks he is the actor and Amitabh is no less than a peon, working for him. Later, they both undergo a moment of realization understanding that to fetch success, both are equally important.

The end of the movie is quite unusual and extraordinary and that’s indeed the beauty of the whole movie. Suspense is always a pivotal part of any drama. In the end, you cannot hold back your tears. Amitabh’s acting leaves you speechless. It is no wonder why people call him the acting legend of the millennium.

It is in the end, a literati can interpret the myriad meanings of the plot. SHAMITABH is the feast for Bollywood thriller movie aficionados who are neither much fond of typical romantic-action drama nor cliche terrorism.

I say to you, I definitely get irked while people consider worries that they just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
