Russia and Ukraine war has completed four months. Since the predicted battle between Russia and Ukraine started on an intense note and the morale of the troops of both countries is straining day by day leading to the rebellion against officers and desertions. Apparently as per the reports, “Ukrainian forces have likely suffered desertions in recent weeks,” However, “Russian morale highly likely remains especially troubled.”
In a recent interview published in a German Weekly, the head of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg warned that the dreadful Russia and Ukraine war may last for the years to come. In his words, “We need to be prepared for it to last for years,” Mr Stoltenberg also urged allies “not to weaken support for Ukraine, even if the costs are high, not only in terms of military aid but also because of the increase in energy and food goods prices.”
General Sir Patrick Sanders also commented that “Russia’s invasion of Ukraine underscores our prime objective – to defend the UK and be prepared to fight and win wars on the ground — and reinforces the need to stop the Russian offensive with the threat of force.”
Serhiy Haidai, Luhansk governor stated via Telegram, “It is a very difficult situation in Sievierodonetsk, where the enemy in the middle of the city is conducting round-the-clock aerial reconnaissance with drones, adjusting fire, quickly adjusting to our changes.” This statement came as a reaction to the Russian military taking control of Metolkine, a settlement located to the east of Sievierodonetsk.
Even UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has expressed concern about the possibility that war may be prolonged for a greater duration than expected. After Mr Johnson met with Zelenskyy and assured him to continue offering aid and military training, he went on to add, “It would be a catastrophe if Putin won. He’d love nothing more than to say, Let’s freeze this conflict, let’s have a cease-fire,”
“And let’s not forget the martyred Ukrainian people in this moment,” that’s how Pope Francis addressed the public gathered in St. Peter’s Square. He urged them to ask over themselves, “What did I do today for the Ukrainian people?”
